Here GirlieCamps' chef Peter Strom shares his best recipes for healthy and powerful food, which will take you through a day on the mountain or on the beach.
Peters noodle sallad
With the tangy taste of ginger and fresh mango topped with peanuts and sesame seeds this is a Banger...Another quick meal that will taste really good after a nice surfsession.Easy to bring on the beach in your pack can preferly be served cold. Noodles with a touch of ginger and fresh mango topped with peanuts
Cooking time 20min.
What u need for 4 persons is:
- 2 packs of ramen noodles
- 1 mango
- 1 Tablespoon curry
- 1 piece of fresh ginger
- peanut oil or seame oil or sunflower oil
- 1 lime
- 2 gram coriandre
- 1 bell
- 10 haricotvert or other green beans
- 1-2 carottes
- Handfull of peanuts
- 1 Tablespoon of sesame seeds
The best way to do it is... Start with the noodles
1. The most important is don´t overcook the noodles. Boil water.put it aside and drain the noodles for 6 min. Stir them once in awhile,don´t let them boil thats´really important.
2. Take out the noodles and put them under cold water so they cool down quickly.
3. When cold lift them into a bowl,
4. Add the oil will make a good taste and make them not stick together.
5. Add the curry stir it around.
6. Chop the bell pepper thinly in stripes.
7. Chop the coriandre
8. Chop the haricotvert boil them 6min cool down with cold water and slize them thin sideways
9. Chop the mango into small pieces
10. Chop the ginger
11. Squeese the juice from the lime
12. Mix everything throw in the peanuts and sesame seeds.
Serve it or prepare your lunch box. I will promise you will be stoked....
Tuna on the Barbeque!
If you haven´t tasted fresh Tuna fish before this is relly something you should try. Contains Ohmega 3 and is power-packed with protein. This is pure power food. If you can´t catch it were you live buy it.
Cooking time 40 min
What you need for 4 persons.
130gram tuna file per person
Marinade:
- Half a deciliter of olive oil
- 1 Lime
- 2 Pinches Fresh rosemary
- 1 Tablespoon sea salt
- 1 Tablespoon black pepper
1. Start with getting the Bbq going and wait until nice glow on the coal.
2. Blend the oil with rosemary salt and pepper
3. Squeese the limejuice in there,wait for the nice glow on the grill.
4. Put the filets on an assiette and drop off the marinade.
5. After grill them on each side for ca three min you can eat the tuna with a red colour in the middle. No danger at all most people prefer it rare in the middle up to you have you want it.
6. Serve with rice cous cous or a fresh sallad

Spanish Paella!
Here ?s a real classic spanish meal,great to cock and serve for some friends. What you need for 4persons. cooking time 50min
- 2 chicken breasts.
- 1 kg moules.
- 40 fresh shrimps
- 1 kg avoria ris
- 4 dl White vine
- 4 charlotte onions
- 4 pieces of garlic
- 1 citron
- a hand full of fresh parsley
- saffran
- red paprika
- 3 dl green peas
- 1 piece Fish Broth
- 1 dl olivolja
Preparation
1. put the owen on 150 degrees
2. rinse the moules under coldwater, throw away the broken or open ones
3. chop the onion and garlic add some oil into your pan. Add the moules and vine.
4. Put the litt on let it boil 4min take out the moules.
5. add the rice saffran onions greenpeas and broth let it boil stir and add salt n pepper.
6. fry the chicken
7. chop the paprika parsley and celleri add the shrimps
8. blend it all and put it into a tray.
9. Top it with pieces of citron and fresh parsley.
Pancakes
I don´t think I know anyone that do not like pancakes for breakfast, or call them crepes if you want. The variations are too many to mention. You need for 4 people:
- 6 dl flour
- 3 eggs
- 2.5 dl milk
- 0.5t sp salt
- 1 spoon butter
Mix egg and half of the milk, then add flour salt and mix until it is smooth. After that you are ready to go... Not too hot, and not too cold. When the color is nice it is good. Stay cool don´t try to flip them too early. Serve with favorite jam, ice cream or plain with sugar, fresh fruit or berries.
You can´t fail with this one Bon Appetit.
Peter's green sallad
Green sallad with apple vinegrette topped with mixed seeds. Spin your sallad like a winner, this recipe is very nice. Serve it to your steak, pasta or fish. As a starter it is excellent. The seeds are very healthy and very yummie. So here is the magic formula.
5 persons:
- Fresh sallad one green and one red.
- 2 carottes
- 1 dl olive oil
- 0.5 dl apple vinegar
- 1 apple
- apple vinegar
- 1 tbl spoon honey
- Seeds sesame pinoit
- salt
- pepper
Take your fresh sallad ,break it down in nice pieces with your hands. Rinse it carefully under called water ,shake of the water after.
Sallad dressing:
- Peel the apple and cut it in small pieces.
- Blend the olive oil with vinegar apple salt pepper and honey...
- Peel the carrot rasp it really thin.
- Take a bowl spin your sallad with the dressing , topp it with seeds and carrot.

Peter's chilli ginger garlic wok
Boost your immune system!. A quick wok that holds lots´of energy.Chilli ginger garlic and Citron,will protect you from a runny nose 4 sure. So don´t wait and Motivate.
Cooking time 25-35min
What you need for 2 persons is:
- 16 Black tigershrimps.ca 200gr
- 1 Carott
- 30 gr Fresh ginger (Ginger is a root)
- 1 chilli
- 15 radis
- '1 lemmon
- 1poiraux
- Basilic
- 0,5 dl Olive oil
- Salt n pepper
- 3 dl Rice
1. Start off with put the rice,rinse it under cold water.
Follow instructions on your pack, how to boil it.
2. Take the shrimps and peel them.
3. Cut off the skin of the ginger,split the chilli in half. Throw away the seeds carefull with not touching your eyes. Chop chilli and ginger very fine.
4. Peel the carrot,slice it thin.
5. Cut the radis in small boats
6. Cut two nice pieces of the lemmon for decoration,squeeze the juice blend it with the olive oil.
7. Heat up frying pan medium,put the oil in there.Then add the ginger chilli,stir it for a few miutes.
8. Add carrot radis and shrimps,increase the heat.
9. When shrimps are getting the red colour it´s done add Salt n pepper.
10. Serve it with your fresh nice rice top it with your Basilic.
Girlies Special Cheese burger
Even if i didn´t expect it to be a Hit, to cook burgers for the girls. The Girlie Cheese burger went straight to the top, at the surfcamps in Hossegor. Some of the girls went for two,so my suggestion is. Serve this for your boy date or sister,you will be the hero. Cooking time 20 min
What you need for 2 persons:
- 300g of minced beef
- 4 slices of bacon
- 2 burger breads
- 2 slices of cheddarcheese
- 1 red onion
- 1 tomatoe
- 1 cornichon
- 1 avocado
- 1 can of Corn
- sallad
- cremefraiche
- chillisauce
- 2"tablespoons"Salt and Black pepper
Start with:
1 The grounded beef take salt and pepper to spice it up.
2 Wet your hands with cold water,shape the burgers nicely.
3 Peel the red onion,cut into rings.
4 Rinse the sallad.
5 Slice the tomatoe
6 Split the avocado and cut some thin slices.
7 Make the dressing: take 1dl cremefraiche 3-4 tablespoons chillisauce.1tea spoon salt pepper.
8 Heat up the frying pan, put the owen on 200C.
9 Fry your burgers in oil or butter and then the bacon.
10 Put the cheese on the burgers
11 Roast your burgerbreads for a few minutes in the owen
12 Build the burger from the bottom:in order bread sallad avocado tomato.
Burger dressing onion bacon Top bread. Sit down relax and take a big bite of Girlies Rolls royce.... Serve it with bubbles of like coca-cola or champagne
Peter's tunafish salad for riders
Here´s a recipe that are used by many Athletes. Full of protein and easy to digest,doesn´t make you tired at all. Endless of variations depending on what you have in your fridge. Good to have in your backpack when you go on a travel. Easy quick and low cost.
What you need for 2 persons
- 1 can of tuna preferly in water
- 1 apple
- Fresh basilic ca 10 leafs
- 1 can of corn
- 1 red onion
- 2 tablespoons of sweet chillisauce
- Squeeze of lime fruit.
1. Boil normal rice,follow the instructions on the pack,add salt. Let it cool down
2. Open the canned tuna preferly in water,poor all the water out.
3. Peel an apple,and chop it into small pieces.
4. Take the red onion chop it like the apple.
5. Open the can with corn poor the water out.
6. Take some fresh basilic leafs,chop them also.
7. Take 1,5dl naturell yoghurt blend it with tuna onion apple basilic and corn.
8. Add 2 tablesppoons of sweet chili sauce ,salt n pepper.
9. Squeeze some fresh lime over your tuna sallad, and then you are ready to eat like a Champ.
Scampi On a stick!
Here we go! Scampi is protein loaded, add some rice, and you will have a meal that supports your Big day out. To style it, put them on a stick.
What you need :
- Scampi
- Rice any kind goes
- Onion Red is nice but choice is yours
- Yoghurt Naturell
- Bell pepper
- Fresh Herbs preferably Basilic
- Salt n Peppa
- Sticks
- Lime
- Sweet Chilli
- Rice 50-75 1dl per person
How to do this:
Take the Scampi, if it´s frozen defrost it.
If it not peeled, peel it.
Put 6 of them on a stick. If u want cut the onion in pieces (small boats).
Paprika in squares mix on the stick.
Boil Rice w some salt,
For the Yoghurt sauce: Chop the herbs and add some sweet chilli, approx 2 table spoons. Squeze some lime in there, and add a little salt.
This recipe is a fast and eazy one so Just do It! bon Appetit.
Salmon on honeyroasted rootvegetables
Then i reccomend this recipe,low cost lots of flavours. Beautiful coulors with sweet taste, and is quick and eazy.
So what we will cock is: Salmon on honeyroasted rootvegetables topped with a fresh lemon herb butter.
Salmon is good and contains protein also ohmega3, that are good for alot of thing´s.Ex Helps your Memory and concentration.
Then you take some Roots that u like, Ex Carrot Celeriac parsnips beetroot.
They are pumped with vitamins iron and carbs 4 your power up.
It´s very easy, because you can cook it all in the owen.
What u need for 2 persons
300g Salmon
1-2 Carrots
1 parsnips
1 celeriac
1 Beetroot or 1 potato
Olive oil but any kind goes
Honey a couple of big spoons
1 Lemon
Herbs thyme or parsley dried or fresh
150g butter
Salt n Pepper
How We Do It
Step 1 Grind salt and pepper on the salmon, put it on a oven tray.
Step 2 peel the roots and cut them in cubes or how u like them.
Step 3 start Owen 175C
Step 4 mix the olive oil and honey together,Shop your herbs in there.
Step 5 Blend it with your roots, put them on the tray that goes into the
oven.
step 6 Swisch it into the oven.
Now you can press citron grind pepper chop herb and mix into the butter.
Chill until the stuff is cooked in the oven ca 20min
To make it nice on the plate.
Start with the roots, put the salmon on them.
Then top the salmon with your fresh, Citron herb butter.
Voila u made it Enjoy your meal and have a Nice day.

Pita bread with sliced beef
If you are out of ideas after the lovely summer. We knock you right back in, to some Delicious september recipes. This recipe got charm because it´s very fast and very good... So wash your hands, and get ready to do it.
PITABREAD STUFFED WITH SLICED BEEF ROASTED BELLPEPPER TOPPED WITH MENTHE YOGHURTSAUCE..
Time for cooking process: 15min with rice added extra 10min. You need for 2 persons:
- 2 steaks ca 130g each
- 1 Bellpepper(Paprika) colour of own choice. I like red personally.
- 1 Hand of preferly Sallad Rouquet,anything goes.
- 1dl Yoghurt
- 5-7 leaves Menthe.
- 3 table spoons of Sweetchillisauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Maybe some pepper.
Sallad rouquet - rinse dry.
Dressing: Olive oil Balsamico 65% oil 35% Balsamico Spin mix sallad with dressing - Done
1. Start with chopping up Bellpepper in pieces, throw away the seeds. Cut them in 2-3 cm pieces.
2. Take some menthe leaves 5-7 chop them up,and blend them into the yoghurt. Add sweetchillisauce salt and maybe a inch pepper.
You´re done with the sauce. Heat up your frying pan,and put the steaks and the bellpepper in there. When the pan is hot. While frying:
- Take your pita bread,take a few drops of water, and structure it gently over the pita.
- Pop it in to your bread toast(fastest way) or micro.
When you´re steak is medium or as u want.
- Slice the beef in strips.
- Take the warm Pita out of the toaster. Cut it open like a halfmoon.
- Stuff it in order of sauce mentheyoghurt sallad rouquet, strips of beef, bell pepper.
Voila!! Enjoi you´re meal and li4e!
