Peter's statement about food
Food is a topic that you can say a lot about and everybody's got his or her own opinion about it. To some food is an enjoyment; some think it should be healthy; many just want to fill their stomachs. Some think it's expensive and some make food in to a political standpoint like vegetarians, vegans or by going on a huger strike. Many want their food to be ecological, organic and some couldn't care less. But with a flavour, a scent and with food you travel to different places even if you're home in your own kitchen. There are some key elements to build your diet on. Because food is about you. How you feel will play a big roll in your life and food will also help you balance it.
For many time constraints is an issue. You can cook food fast, but to feel good you shouldn't shovel food down. If you due to stress cook a pizza in the oven and then eat it the risk is that you don't feel so good afterwards. That's manly because you've been eating to fast. Then it doesn't matter if the pizza was tasty because you are not left with a good feeling. How you eat is very important. Food is connected to feelings in body and mind.
My tip for you when eating is.
Chew, people say eat slow, but what you really do when chewing is helping the metabolism. By dividing the food in to small peaces you increase the intake of nutrition. By getting more nutrition and vitamins you will feel better.
Eating slow will also help you to eat less because the body has time to grasp that sensation of fullness and stop in time. Signals that the body when stressing cannot comprehend. It is clear that how you eat also affects your life, your performances and how you feel. But most of all your health.
For me food is an experience, my life is a journey. The most important thing for me is to feel good and be healthy so that I can do the things I like the most.
