Erika Granberg
Snow coach
What's your story?
I was born in the north of Sweden and got my first snowboard at the age of 11 or 12, I don't really remember... Then I moved with my family to the south, but as a teenager I started to miss the snow so much I decided to do everything I could to get as much winter time as possible. So, at the age of 20 I got a job at a ski resort and started working as a snowboarding instructor. Since then I haven't missed out on any winter!
What does your sport mean to you?
Wow, it means a lot! I don't know how, but I think it went from being a hobby to being a passion and almost an obsession. Somewhere along the way it also became a part of my profession, for a few years I used to make a living out of teaching snowboarding and showing people how awesome it is to ride.
What's your best memory from your sport?
I have soooo many! They are everything from ollie high jump competitions to just sitting at the top of a mountain having my breath taken away by the beauty and power of nature. When it comes down to it, they are all moments of hanging out with friends, feeling good and having a really good time.
What do you think about GirlieCamps?
Becoming a Girlie is a fun and easy way to progress in your sport! Learning new stuff and pushing the limits is so much easier while having fun. It's an awesome opportunity to make new friends amongst people who have the same mindset and share the same dreams as you.
What do you wanna say to all the Girlies out there?
There is no such thing as "impossible"! You can do anything if you just set your mind to it!
