HOW YOU SURF WITH STYLE
- Priority - always make sure that you´re not taking anyone else's wave. Remember, the surfer who is closest to the breaking wave has priority
- Gear - never drag your surf board
- Respect - respect the locals. Remember that you are a guest and that waves should be shared
- Surf buddy - always surf with at least one other person. Not only will you have more fun if you are sharing your waves but you will always have someone to help you out if you need it
- Comfort zone - you should surf in waves that you are comfortable in, don't get in over your head
BEFORE YOU GO IN
- Tide - when is the best time to surf?
- Bottom - stones, sand, mud, rocks...
- Currents - what do you do if you get into one?
- Knowledge - always try to find out more from a local surfer
IF YOU FALL ...
- Fall flat to the side, away from your board
- Protect your head with your arms
- Never fall with your head or feet first!
Knowledge, safety, and surf etiquette are important
